About the Home for Christmas Stocking:

Family traditions during the Christmas season have been so important to me for as long as I can remember. Dusting off the boxes of decorations and seeing our collection of mum’s handmade ornaments is still an anticipated family event each year.

The Home for Christmas Stocking was designed when I wanted to make a personalised set of stockings for my young family that would stay timeless as we grow up and make memories together, and can easily be expanded as more family members come along.

The stocking features a traditional Sawtooth Star patchwork design and a block letter to personalise for each member of your family. The stocking is constructed using traditional patchwork techniques - no foundation paper piecing. Our family stockings are made with a solid colour for the star and letter and a rustic calico fabric for the rest. The calico gives a bit of texture and that vintage Christmas feel that I have always loved.

Fabric Requirements: 

See the listing photos for fabric requirements. If you are using solid/reversible fabrics, with careful cutting a generous sized fat quarter (at least 20" x 21") will be enough fabric for the lining and backing/background sections but 1/2 metre will provide a bit more wiggle room.
